As October begins we are gearing down for a big shift of energies. Your focus over the last year or so has been primarily about the unknown forces of the world. You’ve hosted Jupiter the planet of expansion, abundance, happiness, good luck, and higher levels of education in your twelfth house. The twelfth house covers the topic of “service to the world at large.” That means spiritual mysteries, the occult, mental health, corporations, bureaucracy, red tape, and deception. Libra governs this section of your chart for you and Libra loves all things that involve luxury, beauty, love, fairness, justice, splurging, and is especially fond of couples and partnerships. In general, Scorpio is quite comfortable in an area of the horoscope wheel that frightens and confuses most people. You see beauty and art in the sacred mysteries, karma, and cosmic questions are there for your personal entertainment. You are often accused of being obsessive about sexuality and the darker forces in the world, but people don’t realize that you actually feel that the most sacred of spiritual mysteries to explore is the area of partnership with another person and the surrendering of the soul to another person’s love. You show your love by creating a sacred union that is never to be breached nor cast aside lightly. So when you focus on your twelfth house of mysteries and service to something greater than ourselves, it’s not necessarily from a dark evil frame of mind. You are simply trying to make sure that you are in tuned with the magical forces that bring all things into karmic and cosmic order.

The new moon on October 3^rd is in this same twelfth house ruled by Libra. New moons are typically a time for launching new adventures, starting businesses, beginning new projects, and such. This one is also a solar eclipse. I did some reading about eclipses and depending on whom you read, it’s bad news coming or it’s simply changes coming. For me personally, they usually mean that a light is shone on an issue and in so doing the truth of the matter comes to light. Truth often causes us to want to clean up, fix, or alter our current situation. The truth can cause us to see flaws but in so doing we are able to make up our own minds about how we might like to address those flaws. So I would not call this a bad thing. Think of it more as a cosmic cleaning out of the closets. We just don’t need all of those old broken things any more. Some of it can be let go and some of it can be mended and kept. Since you’ve spent the last thirteen months focusing on these mysteries and secrets of the universe, especially as they pertain to your mental health, you should have a pretty good idea as to what you serves your highest good and what is simply holding you back. Launch a final mental house cleaning so to speak. Go over your spiritual beliefs with a fine toothcomb and decide which things to let go of and which to keep. This energy will be fairly strong over the next month, so don’t stress about having to get it all done right this minute. Take your time and allow the light of truth to shine over your beliefs about life while you take some time to digest what it is that you are seeing.

This same new moon solar eclipse is working smoothly with Neptune who is still hanging out in the humanitarian sign of Aquarius which rules over your private life and residential sector. You could find that you experience some intuitive knowledge bordering on almost psychic knowing of what needs to happen between your home life and your spiritual beliefs. You have an almost magical opportunity to turn your home into the oasis of your dreams. The Sun and Neptune will continue working together until the 10^th.

At the same time that the new moon is causing a solar eclipse, Mercury and Jupiter are joining together to become traveling companions until Friday the 7^th. They are both still in this twelfth house of Libra and secrets. Together they create excellent intellectual potential; your ability to discern fact from fiction should be in peak form at this time. Considering all of the spiritual-analysis going on in your life right now, this couldn’t have come at a better time.

You are due to have a bit of a rough weekend leading up to the full moon on Monday the 17^th. Beginning Thursday the 13^th, Mercury and Saturn square off causing you to be pessimistic about your professional image, Venus and Uranus square off causing relationship troubles with your romantic partner or children based on financial issues, however Mercury and Uranus are work together to try bring about bright ideas, imagination, and inventive concepts to help aid you in your attempt to come to a pleasant and fun solution for everyone involved. Stay cool and focus on enjoying time spent with your loved ones regardless of how much money you have to spend on them.

Monday the 17^th we have a full moon partnered with Jupiter. The Sun will be escorting Jupiter out of Libra and into Scorpio over the next ten days or so. Normally, full moons are a time when things we’ve been working on come to an end. It’s a time of accomplishment, letting go, grand finales, and other types of endings. So this would be a great time to finish up those corporate plans you’ve been working on or coming to a breakthrough moment in your personal therapy sessions. Jupiter’s involvement in this full moon makes it extremely lucky and full of good fortune. Optimism and abundance are the keywords here. The moon itself is in your sixth house of daily work, coworkers, and physical health. This could be a great time if you work involves large corporations and institutions. It’s also a great time to end psychosomatic type illnesses and other stress-related productivity issues. Saturn and Venus are also working well together at this time but they will only bless financially responsible events, so don’t go off on any crazy schemes. Do your homework and make sure you’ve double and triple checked your business plan so that you’ll have the added blessing of Saturn and Venus during this time. Your professionalism and personal wealth sectors are involved here so the financial wisdom is even more important for you than the other zodiac signs.

The weekend from Friday the 21^st through Monday the 24^th has Mercury and Mars at opposing each other. Mercury rules communications, negotiations, commerce, and business contracts, as well as siblings and neighbors. Mars rules energy, drive, work ethic, and warrior aspects. These two are in your “me” and “we” sectors. It looks like the bulk of the stress will be between you and your spouse or business partner. This aspect brings about an increased mental energy, but there’s a good chance for a great deal of tension caused by overworking. On Monday, the Moon sends over a bit of help and smoothes out your powers of concentration so that things are resolved and back to normal from then on.

Late Tuesday the 25^th or early the 26^th, depending on where you live in the world, Jupiter officially changes signs from Libra to Scorpio. The entire week will feel the transitional energies as our focus of joy and happiness changes. As I said earlier, Jupiter brings expansion, good luck, abundance, and joy to all it touches. When things are good, they are really really good. When things go bad, they go really really bad. However, in general Jupiter’s main goal is to have everyone happy and getting along with great prosperity and joy for everyone. In Libra that meant that partnerships, justice, diplomacy, art, music, intellect, diplomacy, and love were blessed. It also meant that when planets opposed or squared off with Jupiter that there was a tendency towards indecisiveness, laziness, and snobbery.

As Jupiter moves into Scorpio the focus will be quite different. Scorpio rules sharing and the concept of “our survival.” Many people don’t understand why Scorpio’s can be so revengeful and dangerous when crossed. You rule over truth as it applies to trust, which is essential when sharing resources, sexuality, personal phoenix rising moments, and such. To break trust in these areas is absolutely unforgivable in your eyes. This is also why you are so good at ferreting out deep dark secrets. Passion is also yours to watch over because without a passionate connection to another human being, there is no motivation to actually share what you have with them. Taxes, inheritances, bonus checks, royalty checks, spouse’s income, and such are covered in this area because it’s about trusting that the other person will share with us as promised. The natural cycle of life, death, and rebirth are also covered by Scorpio because it looks at the big picture surrounding “our survival” as a species. You are not fascinated by death from a perverse wicked mentality but from a place of wanting to truly understand the deepest aspects of what it means to really live life and what it means to die. The result is that you go through a number of personal rebirths during any given lifetime. So, these areas will all be blessed by Jupiter over the next 13 months or so.

For you personally, Scorpio is in your first house of “me, myself, and I.” This is your cosmic year to shine, have good luck, and prosper in all that you do. As your birthday rolls around and you make that wish before blowing out the candles, make a special wish because this is your year for happiness, abundance, and joy. The world will respond positively more often than not in regards to you and all that Scorpio stands for.
