Who Are We?

We are a group of concerned pagans who have put aside our differences in order to work together to make changes for the betterment of us all and Mother Earth.  There are so many important issues facing each and everyone of us, so being tired of just taking it, we've decided to make a stand and let our voices be heard.  Below you will meet a few of us who work hard on this newsletter and with Pagans United daily to help bring about change.

Laura Crowe, Editor, Pagan Village News &  President/Founder of Pagans United

I started this project (Pagans United & Pagan Village News) because it's time for us to make some changes in this world if we ever hope to truly experience peace.

Our mother earth is slowly dying, people are still persecuted openly for their religious beliefs, and the rights of the people are being over shadowed by the greed of those in power.  The word democracy has slowly lost all meaning.

On a daily basis I receive reports of assaults, loss of jobs, housing, and the destruction of property from my fellow pagans.  And it's not just the pagan religion; all the minority religions face the same fear on a daily basis.  This just can't be allowed to go on any longer.

I find it ironic that we went into Iraq to bring them freedom and democracy when many of us in the United States aren't allowed the simple basic freedoms our country was founded on.  It is my hope that through activism and education, many of the problems we are facing today can be resolved.

It's time we all stand together and make some changes before it's too late.   The time for change is now.  Will you join us?

Laura is the CEO of New Moon Productions, a Web Hosting and Design Company, and the Editor/Owner of  The New Age Journal Online, Alternative Marketplace.com, and A new ezine in the works and Coming Soon "The Rising Phoenix" at www.newageinfo.net as well as other sites.   She is the Georgia PUC Chairperson and will be takin over the PUC North Central  Regional Chair position along with Winterwolf.

She is a practicing witch, activist,  herbalist, and animal healer.  In her spare time enjoys gardening, riding her motorcycle (weather permitting), camping, and reading. As a martial artist, holding the current rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do,  she still finds time to compete in State Tournaments.   She currently resides in Georgia, Ft. Stewart area with her fiance Winterwolf.

Vice President & Assistant Editor of Pagans United Newsletter, Keith aka Winterwolf

I have been walking the pagan path for a few years now, but recently felt that I needed to be more action orientated. I see our world hurting from depredations and I see humanity in severe need of healing of the spirit. I believe this project is an excellent step in the right direction. Pagans United is based on activism. The word itself seems to have been a dirty word label for a very long time in many of the mainstream's eyes. Part of why I am working here is to show that activism isn't a political dirty word, it simply means to take an "active" roll in the community, the nations political process and the world at large.

My goals here are simple. Bring people together as a community and teaching tolerance of race, gender, religion, and preference.  I believe its a major component of Pagan thought and ethic. I also am working on taking the initiative and making Pagan's United a voice to be respected in the political community so that when we fight for ecological protective measures and human rights, the political will take notice and consider us seriously. As VP I am dedicated towards these goals and helping the pagan community through honorable service and devotion.

Keith Roberts has served as an American soldier in Iraq.   For several years he has served in the nation's armed services and is a veteran of three tours in the middle east. Although his personal views don't always agree with the government, honor above all continues to drive his service for the country and people within that he loves.

He has studied for awhile as a solitaire practitioner and has recently taken up studies for formal pagan education. In his spare time he enjoys reading, painting, writing short stories and getting out into nature as much as possible. He has always grown up around animals and feels a deep connection with all things wild and free.

Keith is now home from Iraq after spending a very long year there, and working more closely on Pagan projects and freedom of religion issues.  Check out his latest words in "Letters From Iraq" at www.newage-journal.com .

Keith is currently the Vice President of Pagans United, Georgia PUC Chair, and North Central Regional Chair for PUC.  Keith is also the Co-Owner/Editor for The New Age Journal Online, Alternative Marketplace.com, and a new ezine in the works and Coming Soon "The Rising Phoenix" at www.newageinfo.net

Rev Fallon Glen, Poetry Column, Networking and PR Specialist for Pagans United

My name is Fallon Glenn. I am a 21 year old Correllian Nativist. I am happily married to my childhood sweetheart, Courtney. I am a certified nursing assistant in Arkansas.
I believe strongly that all faiths deserve equal consideration within the eyes of the law. I began my journey as a Pagan Activist with the Pagan Unity Campaign in 2001 as a state level volunteer. Over the next several years, I got involved with various causes and organizations. When Pagans United formed in 2004 I jumped on board to lend my assistance and have found that Pagans United is a wonderful organization with much to offer.

My name is Virginia Villarreal (aka: Darkelf ). I am 44 years old, a witch and a lesbian.   I've  have been handfasted for two years to the love of my life, Lorri.  Together we have six children to deal with.  I have my own Accounting business and we are currently starting a Pagan craft business together.   We are both active in the Gay  and Pagan Communities  in Houston, Texas. I've been a Pagan since I can remember but started studying under anyone about 8 years ago.  I  have studied  the Dorian Dianic   Tradition and the Sumerian Tradition  but found that I  didn't fit in.  I am currently studying  with the Dynion Mwyn  and am very happy with my teacher, Laura.  I hope that someday I will become a teacher for the Goddess and God  so that I can help others that are gay and pagan on their path.I am very open about my spirituality and about being a lesbian because that is who I am and if someone is going to like me they are going to like me "as is".

Greetings and Merry Meet Readers,

My name is Silver Spiritwolf.  I am proud to be a part of this Newsletter and proud to be who and what I am.  I have long practiced the lifestyle of Wicca/Witch and do not believe that their could ever be a more rewarding life.  I am proud to be a part of this wonderful group of people.  We all believe in the rights and liberties of all religions and have protested and signed petitions to preserve the religious rights of all minority religious groups.  We fight and strive to protect our Earth and Her creatures as well as protesting and signing petitions to save our oceans, rivers, seas, rain forests, national parks, and to express our opinions regarding big business taking away so much that there will be little left to share with our children, their children, and even their children.  I belong to a Temple in Albany, New York.  I am an avid gardner in the spring and summer, love medieval lore and myth and attend the Renassaince Festival every year.  I have just recently begun analyzing dreams and reading tarot cards for others.  I will finally be receiving my Reiki attunements in the next two months and my dream of becoming a healer looks like it is closer than I thought.  I am interested in astral travel and have experienced this during my dream time and have worked very hard to decipher messages that my guides are relaying to me.  I believe that truth and justice do prevail, although it may not come as quickly as I or others would like it to.  I have belonged to two online Witch Schools and have learned and grown much from being a part of them, yet I have finally found my home close to home and there is nothing like that personal connection between people.  I am hoping that by the end of this summer (2006) to be an initiate and by the early Spring of next year a Priestess and then finally by the end of next summer(2007) a High Priestess.  From there I will be working on becoming a Clergy.  For so many years I have planned and sought these things out and am only now seeing them come to light.  I have truly been blessed not only by the God/dess, but by the encouragement of friends and family to follow my heart and know that I can obtain my desires.

Working with Keith and Laura has been a great growth opportunity for me.  They are dedicated and stand firm in what they believe.  They have given much of themselves for this newsletter as well as for their country and I have nothing more than the utmost respect and gratitude for them both.
With Bright Blessings
Silver Spiritwolf
